Vic: Total fire ban in north western, south western, central Vic

The Country Fire Authority has declared a total fire ban tomorrow in the north-western,
south-western and central districts of Victoria.

The central district includes Melbourne and Geelong.

No fires can be lit in the open from midnight tonight until midnight tomorrow.

The CFA has also advised people living in areas at risk of bushfire to activate their
fire emergency plans.

The CFA says residents should decide whether they've made sufficient plans to defend
their homes from potential bushfires.

Residents are advised to leave their homes early in the day in case of bushfire if
they're not well prepared.
